How to choose
Controllable speed matters more than a large wattage figure
Bosch MSM67170 is our suggestion for gradual adjustment. Braun MQ 5235 WH offers another speed range within MultiQuick 5 Vario. Philips HR2531/00 meets a simpler need, but the product page reviewed does not permit hot ingredients: we do not recommend putting it straight into a freshly boiled pan.
Define three real tasks
Consider whether you will prepare cold sauces, soups or chopped ingredients using an attachment. These jobs do not all use the same blending shaft. A chopper approved for an ingredient does not make the immersion blade suitable for it. Check maximum quantities, operating intervals and package contents.
The 650, 750 or 1000 W figures are rated powers, not smoothness scores. Shaft geometry, container and liquid ratio also matter. We have not measured noise, splashing or final texture; our comparison focuses on controls and documentation.
Temperature and cleaning: two essential checks
Before blending soup, consult the model's temperature limit. Take the container off the heat and do not treat another blender's permissions as universal. If the preparation must cool, do not unnecessarily leave it at room temperature for hours: organise cooling and blending appropriately.
Unplug before removing the shaft or cleaning residue. Do not immerse the motor body. Check which attachments are dishwasher-safe without extending permission for one piece to all the others.
Cooking tip
For a sauce, use a tall container fitting the shaft's diameter. Start with the blade covered by the mixture and avoid lifting it out while it spins. If the preparation is too thick to circulate, stop and adjust consistency according to the recipe instead of keeping the appliance under strain.
How we research and what we have not tested
Selection for the Spanish market reviewed on 13 September 2026. We cross-checked references and features on official pages and in manuals, linked in each product review. Recommendations by use are our editorial judgement based on those data, not results of physical tests. We have not measured these models' performance, noise, energy use, wear or comfort. We do not assign scores or a permanent value-for-money winner.
Images come from product pages; sources are listed in each review. Amazon links are reference searches and require checking the exact offer; other links lead to the official shop. A closer look
Bosch ErgoMixx MSM67170
Variable control and a metal blending shaft for adjusting the blending process.
Power: 750 W
Specification-based analysis · Reviewed 13 Sep 2026
Best suited to: Soups and sauces with adjustable speed
What we like
- 750 W, 12 speeds and a turbo function.
- Detachable metal blending shaft with a four-bladed cutter.
Things to consider
- Check the attachments included in the exact bundle.
- Watts alone do not let you compare the final texture.
Methodology and evidence
Cross-checking official product information and manuals, with editorial interpretation based on cooking needs. No hands-on tests or verification of offers. Sources are linked in the review.
We would select it for speed control rather than for accumulating watts. Start slowly with the blending head submerged and increase the speed once the mixture is circulating, always following the manual's temperature limits and operating intervals.
The chopper and blending shaft do not share the same load limits. Permission to crush ice with one attachment does not mean that all attachments can do so. Unplug the appliance before dismantling it or removing trapped food.

Braun MultiQuick 5 Vario MQ 5235 WH
An alternative from the Vario range for anyone who wants a wide choice of speed settings.
Power: 1000 W
Specification-based analysis · Reviewed 13 Sep 2026
Best suited to: Anyone who wants fine control over speed
What we like
- A 1000 W model from the MultiQuick 5 Vario range with 21 speeds.
- Official support identified for the MQ 5235 WH.
Things to consider
- It is not the MQ 5245 bundle or the black BK variant.
- More speed positions do not demonstrate better blending results.
Methodology and evidence
Cross-checking official product information and manuals, with editorial interpretation based on cooking needs. No hands-on tests or verification of offers. Sources are linked in the review.
The distinction we value is adjustability, not assumed superiority based on power. Before buying, check that you will receive the MQ 5235 WH accessory set, rather than an offer mixing pictures from several bundles.
For a sauce, use a tall, narrow container and avoid lifting the blending head while it is running. We have not measured splashing, noise or comparative smoothness. Attachment compatibility must be confirmed in the documentation for this reference.

A simple, straightforward option for mixtures that fall within its operating limits.
Power: 650 W
Specification-based analysis · Reviewed 13 Sep 2026
Best suited to: Cold mixtures and simple tasks
What we like
- 650 W and simple operation.
- The blending shaft detaches at the press of a button.
Things to consider
- The product information reviewed does not permit hot ingredients or ice.
- It does not offer the variable adjustment of the other options.
Methodology and evidence

We suggest it for anyone who wants basic operation, not for blending directly in a boiling pan. The product information reviewed sets limits for hot ingredients: let the preparation cool and check your unit's manual before using it.
Do not buy this model on the assumption that all hand blenders can handle any temperature. Also check which parts must be washed by hand. It is an alternative for simple needs, without promises that it matches a model with more controls.

Frequently asked questions
Can I blend boiling soup?
Do not assume so. Follow the manual's temperature limit and procedure; the Philips model included is not suggested for hot ingredients.
Are all MultiQuick packages the same?
No. This selection identifies MQ 5235 WH. Other references may have different attachments or finishes.
Does a 1000 W model always leave fewer lumps?
That cannot be inferred from power alone. The blade, food, quantity and handling also matter.
