We would select it for speed control rather than for accumulating watts. Start slowly with the blending head submerged and increase the speed once the mixture is circulating, always following the manual's temperature limits and operating intervals.
The chopper and blending shaft do not share the same load limits. Permission to crush ice with one attachment does not mean that all attachments can do so. Unplug the appliance before dismantling it or removing trapped food.
