Let’s get cooking

Method

  1. Finely grate the Parmesan and divide into six 15 g piles. Prepare six short cooking-safe skewer sticks; these are utensils, not ingredients.

  2. On an air-fryer-safe silicone liner, arrange three sticks apart and cover one end of each with cheese, forming evenly thick discs about 6 cm across. The sticks must not touch the heating element.

  3. Without preheating, cook the first batch for 4–5 minutes at 180°C, checking from minute 3. Remove when the cheese bubbles and is lightly golden. Cool completely on the liner before lifting off.

  4. Repeat with the remaining three, checking sooner because the air fryer is already hot. Serve one per person and point out the sticks, removing them before giving one to a child.
