  • Tuna drained weight 160 g
  • Egg cooked and chopped 2 unidades
  • Tomato sauce thick, to prevent soggy tortillas 120 g
  • Cheese grated, a good melting variety 120 g

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C, conventional heat, and line a baking tray.

  2. Mix the well-drained tuna, chopped boiled eggs, tomato sauce and grated cheese in a bowl.

  3. Warm the tortillas briefly to make them flexible. Spread filling over one half of each, leaving the edge clear.

  4. Lightly moisten the edges, fold into half-moons and press the edges with a fork to seal.

  5. Arrange the eight turnovers on the tray without touching. Bake for 7–10 minutes, until golden and crisp.

  6. Rest for 3 minutes to let the filling settle, then serve hot or warm.
