Method
-
Preheat the oven to 180°C, conventional top and bottom heat. Line a baking tray with baking paper. Keep the puff pastry in the fridge until the filling is ready.
-
In a bowl, mix the 50 g of softened butter, 60 g of sugar and 5 g of ground cinnamon into an even paste.
-
Unroll the cold puff pastry without stretching it and spread the filling in a thin layer. Leave a 1 cm border along one long edge.
-
Roll up from the opposite long edge to make a log about 30 cm long, finishing with the bare edge underneath. Use a sharp knife to cut 12 slices about 2.5 cm thick without squashing them.
-
Place the rolls spiral-side up on the tray, leaving about 3 cm between them. Bake on the middle shelf for about 20 minutes at 180°C, until golden and the pastry layers are cooked through.
-
Remove the tray and let the rolls cool on a wire rack for 10 minutes. Meanwhile, mix the 60 g of icing sugar with the 12 ml of milk in a bowl until smooth and thickly pourable.
-
Drizzle the icing over the cooled, slightly warm rolls and serve.
