Method
-
Preheat the air fryer to 195 °C following the instructions for your model. Place the 100 g crustless sliced white bread on a board and flatten each slice with a rolling pin without tearing it.
-
Divide the 120 g cooked ham and 80 g Gouda cheese between the four bread slices, using one slice of each per roll. Leave a small clear edge for closing and keep the filling within the bread.
-
Roll each bread slice around the filling, pressing gently. Press the final edge closed and place the four rolls seam-side down.
-
Beat the medium egg with the 20 ml milk, the 0.5 g salt, the 0.2 g black pepper and the 1 g dried oregano in a shallow bowl.
-
Crush the 30 g cornflakes into coarse crumbs. Briefly dip each roll in the egg and milk mixture without soaking it, then coat in the cornflakes, pressing them on.
-
Place the four rolls apart in the air fryer basket, seam-side down, leaving room for air to circulate. Spray the 3 ml extra virgin olive oil over the surface, without using aerosols inside the hot appliance.
-
Cook at 195 °C for about 8 minutes, carefully turning halfway, until the coating is golden, the egg mixture has set and the cheese has melted.
-
Serve two freshly cooked rolls per person.
